Three galleries, three themes: African American Families and Communities in Maryland, Labor and the Black Experience, and Black Art and Intellect. Born and raised in a rough Baltimore neighborhood, Lewis was a self-made man: he became a Wall Street lawyer and an expert practitioner of the leveraged buy-out.
