The Ford’s Theatre Museum combines a remarkable collection of historic artifacts with a variety of interactive exhibits to tell the story of Abraham Lincoln’s presidency. Using environmental recreations, videos and three-dimensional figures, the museum transports visitors to 19th-century Washington, where they can follow Lincoln from his arrival in Washington in 1861.” Tours of the museum are self-guided and there are some presentations in the theatre. You can purchase an audio tour. All entries include the Peterson House (where Lincoln died) and the Center for Education and Leadership. If you are a ticket holder for a performance, you can visit the museum before the show or during intermission. FYI: Because of capacity limits in the museum, we cannot guarantee that all those with performance tickets will be able to visit the museum.”
