Discovery Theater, a division of The Smithsonian Associates, presents live educational theater for children primarily ages 2-16. Performances include puppetry, theatrical performance, dance, storytelling and musicals, designed to entertain, educate, and enlighten young audiences. Discovery Theater provides high-quality, professionally performed programming to over 50,000 of the region’s children, their parents, teachers, and schools each year. The theater is located in the S. Dillon Ripley Center on the National Mall.
Jargie (the quirky alter ego of scientist-educator Jocelyn Argueta) dons her signature pink lab coat to launch into exciting experiments and demonstrations that deliver plenty of solid science facts. Ages 6-11.
