The Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum depicts life in this small town when it was famous for its amuseument park created by Otto Mears. It was a shoreline resort with railroad service from Washington and Baltimore. The museum houses various artifacts as well as the last known railcar, The Dolores, which is located behind the museum. The museum offers events throughout the year to celebrate National Train Day, the holidays and summertime. The museum is open mid-March through November.
