The scene Long recognized as serving among the best pizza in town, 2 Amys just off Wisconsin Avenue pleases foodies and families alike. It’s a no-reservations place so expect a wait at peak times for a seat in the crowded dining room or on the back patio. The food The thin-crust Neapolitan pies are $8-$13 and a far cry from Domino’s. High-quality ingredients (topping choices are plentiful) are fired up in a wood-burning oven, and salads, panini and veggie-heavy apps are also on the menu (as are scrumptious desserts). The kid appeal Pizza lovers are set, otherwise, there’s not much for fussy eaters (no kids menu with chicken tenders here). Crayons and plain paper are offered, as are lid-covered paper cups with straws. Noise level It’s plenty noisy from the bustling dining room and open kitchen. High chairs/boosters Ample of both. Changing tables none Review by Kathleen Seiler Neary.
