Story time fun for the entire family, these 30-to-40-minute story times are packed full of books and activities designed to be enjoyed by all ages.

Families are invited to join us and learn along with young Johnny about honoring elders, having patience and consideration for others, and, of course, FOOD!
Build reading skills while making a new friend by reading to a therapy dog at the library. Bring your own book or use one of ours! For readers grades K-5 who would enjoy a friendly four footed listener. Please sign up at the door of the story room beginning at 11:30 for your favorite dog and time slot. We have times from 11:45-1:00.
Visitors can listen to a story and create art inspired by someone in the Portrait Gallery’s collection.

Foley (or the creation of sound in film and on stage) is one of the most creative and fun ways to play with storytelling. In this workshop, families will explore the sounds we can make with our voices and with everyday objects to imitate sounds of the world.
Enjoy a story that highlights the nature found in and around the Nature Center, be it plants, animals, rocks, sun, or weather.
